Suzanne is registered with The Psychology Board of Australia, with endorsement to practise as a Clinical Psychologist.
She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology (with Honours) in Hong Kong, and received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with Merit, from The University of Sydney in 1996. She is a founding member of The Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).
As a practising Clinical Psychologist, Suzanne undertakes continuing professional development activities as well as regular professional supervision to ensure her knowledge and skills stay up to date.
Having worked at two major teaching hospitals for 5 years, and then in private practice for the past 23 years, she has extensive experience in a wide range of psychological problems in adults. Her special interests and experience include:
Working in a specialized anxiety clinic, providing individual and group programs for people suffering from panic attacks, agoraphobia, OCD, social phobia, specific phobias, and generalized anxiety disorder
Stress and burnout in the workplace
Depression in a wide range of contexts
Treatment of insomnia
Seeing people with adjustment difficulties and PTSD after being involved in an accident or other traumatic events
Seeing people who have just been diagnosed with cancer, coping with active cancer treatments, or adjusting to life as a cancer survivor
Running group programmes for people with tinnitus
Helping people cope with chronic pain
Developing and running a weight management program in conjunction with dietitians
She sees adults and young people over 16.
